Prime Minister Rumen Radev: Bulgaria will promote investments with high added value, which lead to industrial cooperation and technology transfer
Creating better conditions for business and investment in Bulgaria is among the leading priorities of the government. This was stated by Prime Minister Rumen Radev during his meeting with the leadership of the American-Central European Business Association. Deputy Prime Ministers Alexander Pulev and Atanas Pekanov, Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova-Chamova, as well as Acting US Ambassador to Bulgaria Martin McDowell took part in the conversation in the Council of Ministers.
Prime Minister Radev emphasized the key role of our country for European energy security and connectivity in the region. Bulgaria, with its location and infrastructure, is in the focus of a number of transport and energy corridors that are essential for increasing European competitiveness. The Prime Minister emphasized the strategic importance of Corridor No. 8, the benefits of the liquefied gas terminals of Greece and Turkey for energy diversification in the region, and the opportunities of the Trans-Balkan Gas Pipeline. Radev also highlighted the potential of our country to store electricity with the construction of new PSHPP capacities.
The Prime Minister also focused on the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States and expressed our country's interest in promoting investments with high added value. Rumen Radev also stressed that industrial cooperation and technology transfer are key elements in the process of modernization of the Bulgarian Army.
