ACEBA Welcomes Latvian Foreign Affairs and Climate & Energy Ministers for February Dialogue

In February, the American‑Central European Business Association (ACEBA) hosted a high‑level roundtable in Washington, D.C. featuring H.E. Baiba Braže, Latvia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Kaspars Melnis, Minister of Climate and Energy. ACEBA also welcomed Christopher W. Smith, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Nordic, Baltic, Arctic Security, and East Central European Affairs.

The discussion offered a timely opportunity to explore the continued growth of the U.S.–Latvia bilateral relationship, with the Latvian ministers outlining key government priorities across foreign affairs, climate policy, and energy security. U.S. officials and ACEBA member companies exchanged perspectives on the evolving geopolitical landscape, regional cooperation, and the role of American businesses in supporting Latvia’s economic and strategic objectives.

Participants also discussed emerging opportunities for U.S. companies to expand their commercial activities and long‑term projects in Latvia, reinforcing the importance of sustained dialogue between government and industry partners.
