American-Lithuanian Business Council Meets with Lithuanian President
On Thursday, September 19, the American-Lithuanian Business Council (ALBC) met with President Gitanas Nausėda during the Council’s annual business mission to Vilnius. According to the President, Lithuania sees the US as one of the strategic partners in the development of security and economic relations and the ALBC as an important partner in spreading the message about Lithuania’s economic opportunities, attractive and secure business environment.
US investment in Lithuania are gaining momentum and bilateral trade is growing. Last year, trade turnover between Lithuania and the US increased by 7.4 percent to nearly 2 billion euros. Fintech, engineering, defense, chemical industry, life sciences, energy, global business services and ecosystem startups are considered to be highly promising sectors for joint research, activities and investments.
